Hey community!
October is over! A month filled with bold ideas, cinematic moments, and creators pushing their limits. These are the five posts that defined October on FilmmakersWorld — stories that remind us why we fell in love with this craft in the first place.
1. Manfrotto ‘ONE Hybrid’ campaign
Director Zac Hancock shares how a single tripod became the centerpiece for a 16-metre set build, complex VFX, and even a 100-metre cliffside shoot. This was all to inspire creators of every kind. From simple camera setups to adrenaline-fueled sequences, this project showcases ingenuity, collaboration, and the limitless possibilities of hybrid filmmaking.

2. 🎬 Why Risk It? – New @nike campaign shot across Barcelona and Los Angeles in high-speed.
Featuring @taarra’s longest jump, captured at 1000 fps — the team had only two attempts to get the perfect shot, making every frame a true testament to precision and skill.
3. Behind the Rush – Full Throttle BTS
Go behind the chaos and creativity of Full Throttle, where a tiny crew crafted every frame by hand. They pushed rigs and energy to the max. Written and directed by @morganlefaucheur
4. 🎬 [TABLETOP] Behind the Scenes + Final – Sprite Commercial directed by @burakbalkan
All liquid effects were captured in-camera using the Phantom Flex 4K at 1000 fps and the Bolt high-speed motion control rig. This setup allowed for dynamic, precise, and cinematic shots. Moving the camera through a liquid ocean wave rig offered unmatched flexibility and timing.
5. 🎬 Behind the Scenes IKEA TV Commercial
Custom grip rigs by @drivvedgrip and capturing everyday life from the products’ perspective.
🎬 Special Mentions:
1. Roofman
Director Derek Cianfrance chose to shoot Roofman on 35mm film. He aimed to make suburban American life feel more elegant and to give the actors an immediacy and urgency that only film can provide.
2. 🎬 SIDEWALKS – A Dance Meets Narrative Short Film
Shot in just one freezing night on the outskirts of Paris, the film captures raw authenticity through bold lighting, long choreographed takes, and an incredible collaborative energy. Cinematography by @HugoCarlier, choreography by Mes Lesne, and Steadicam mastery by Sacha Naceri bring this emotional story to life.
